Dentistry means caring for my patients to address and treat their overall dental health and well-being.

It is a joy to use my experience, knowledge, and integrity to develop the best treatment plan for each patient, knowing they will be pleased with the experience and results. When my patient realizes they received excellent service and treatment, they are reassured that my staff and I care about them. This creates trust and a desire to come to our office, as the person knows they are in safe and caring hands and will finish the visit with a brighter, healthier smile!

Background and Education

Growing up in the Bay Area, I knew from an early age that I wanted to be in healthcare.

I attended the University of the Pacific in Stockton and received my Bachelor of Arts in Biological Science. I was accepted into the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry at the University of the Pacific, where I obtained my Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS).

Having practiced general dentistry since 1988, I have no doubt I am in the best profession. Dentistry is the perfect combination of science, medicine, and art, along with the opportunity to build relationships while helping people enjoy healthier and happier lives. It is professionally and personally rewarding to give people optimal oral health, educate them on prevention, and see beautifully confident smiles every day!

In Practice

As a dentist, I am dedicated to seeing that each patient’s overall dental health is taken care of and procedures are done correctly. This focus establishes my patient’s confidence and comfort in seeing the dentist. They feel safe and relaxed about visits, so they can maintain their oral health and enjoy a great smile that builds their self-esteem.

One of the most rewarding aspects of dentistry is how working with my patients enriches my life. Our interactions are more than just addressing a person’s dental health and making them feel better. Instead, these conversations help us connect personally as I learn about their interests, experiences, and loved ones. It is a privilege to see families grow and change through the years and share in their lives.

My patients know I am not just here to treat their teeth but am interested in them as people.

Professional Affiliations and Continuing Education

I am an active member of the:

  • American Dental Association
  • California Dental Association
  • Southern Alameda County Dental Society
  • American Academy of Clear Aligners
  • University of the Pacific Alumni Association

Like all areas of healthcare, dentistry is a constantly advancing field, with ongoing research leading to new options. Through continuing education – meetings, lectures, seminars, and publications – offered by professional organizations, I can stay current with the latest developments in oral healthcare. Additionally, I have completed numerous courses and training in advanced dental implant topics through Hiossen, AIC Education.

Learning about new techniques, technology, and materials allows me to provide the best treatment to my patients using updated information and methodologies.

Beyond the Practice

I’ve lived in Dublin for over 25 years, spending much of my free time with loved ones. My husband, Randy, is a marketing director; my son, Spencer, is a lawyer working at a Bay Area law firm; and my daughter, Cassidy, will start dental school at my alma mater in July 2023. Cooper, our beloved Maltipoo, rounds out our family.

If I’m not at the office and seeing patients or studying the latest dental journal, I can be found visiting and enjoying time with family. I also like sewing and knitting, arts and crafts projects, losing myself in a book, and finding great places to eat.
